Guess I should update...it's been a while!

Bennett is now 19 months- he's on his way to being the big 2!!  Can't believe how fast this year is flying too!  He has learned a lot in the past month though.  He understands an amazing amount of info and remembers stuff like crazy!  Here are some things that he now knows:    

• He knows where is nose and ears are.  And if you ask him to point to your nose he'll pick it for you. ;)  He can say the word nose too!
• He knows that the snake says "ssss" 
• He knows that the cow says "moo" 
• He knows that the monkey goes "eee aaa"
• He knows the chicken goes "cluck cluck"

He's still a busy body and is constantly in motion.  Going to sleep is a huge undertaking for him because he has a hard time shutting off.  His little mind just keeps going and going.  But I've learned to just be patient and eventually he'll fall asleep.  

His appetite level has leveled off.  He doesn't really eat very big meals, instead he prefers to snack throughout the day.  However, he does like to eat a pretty good breakfast.  He loves scrambled eggs!  Usually I'll fix him that in the morning and he'll eat some yogurt along with it.  Then he'll have a mid morning snack, either goldfish or his popcorn puffs.  Then he'll eat a small lunch- grilled cheese or turkey, a veggie and some fruit or applesauce.  Then he'll eat another snack in the afternoon and a small dinner at night.  He still loves milk but I'm trying to just give him milk in the morning and at night and maybe at lunch and then juice/water all the other times.  He drinks like a camel.

I guess we're just used to him but have realized that Bennett is just a solid little guy.  He's not fat by any means, just solid.  And very strong!  I guess he gets that from his Daddy!

Love him to pieces and more!!! We are in process of getting his room decorated for him.  We've had his bed up there for a while but his room never really was done.  Heck, I never really finished it before he was born because he came early.  We got a book rack hung and put his dresser back up there.  Now it just needs some little finishing touches and it will be done.  I love it though!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Wow, it's hard to believe it's Bennett's 2nd Halloween.  Last year he was barely even sitting up, now he's into everything!  Remember last year, he was our little moo cow? Oh how I miss that little baby, with those cute chubby cheeks!

 

This year we debated on Bennett's costume.  Then my mom pulled out an old costume my cousin used years ago, and we decided to just use that.  For one, it was free, and secondly it was extremely cute once we put it on Bennett.  I was a little hesitant because it's much much cuter once you get it on.  And Bennett still isn't really into Halloween quite yet, so he probably wore it for maybe 30 minutes and that was it.  But I'm surprised he wore it that long.  We let him walk around the cul de sac and go up to a few doors and knock, he seemed to have fun, and we enjoyed showing off our little lion!

All in all, it was a fun Halloween!  Next year he'll probably get it and be able to go door to door.  :)  My how things have changed in the past year though.  :)
