Water Baby!

Jason is starting a new job at Michelin in about a week.  He had last week off and he has this coming week off too, just because that's how it worked out with ending his old job and starting his new one.  It's been very nice knowing he's home (and he's done a few things around the house too).  :)  But I decided to take a couple days off from work to spend with my 2 main men.  We thought taking a trip to Charleston would be really fun, so we packed our bags up and headed down there yesterday!  We stopped by the Citadel first and let Bennett look around.  It was really hot there.  Poor thing- he cheeks turned really really red- he was hot!  We walked into the Summerall Chapel, which was very cold and felt really nice.  We let him crawl around in there for  little while, just to cool down some.  Then we headed to Mt. Pleasant and stopped in Sticky Fingers to eat lunch.  It was really nice and Bennett let Mommy have a new experience- changing a poopy diaper in the bathroom stall.  :)  I guess I should count myself lucky that Bennett is 14 months and I haven't had to do that yet.  It wasn't all that bad.  I laid our cover down and he laid right there and looked around while I did what I had to do.  :)  Then we headed to the BEACH!!!  Isle of Palms has a really nice county park so we checked into there and lathered Bennett up with some sun block and changed him into his swimming trunks.  And topped him off with a cute little beach hat.  We weren't sure if he was going to like the ocean or not, but he loved it!! Every time we would walk back up closer to the shore with him, he'd run back (holding on to Daddy of course) to the water.  Jason took him out a little ways and he just watched all the kids play.  It was so fun and I can't wait to take him back!  We didn't stay long, a nice thunderstorm followed us there.  But I did manage to get some great pictures of him at the beach!

First, pictures from the Citadel.

So sweet!

Such a beautiful campus!!

Blurry but oh so cute!

Jason you don't have to brace anymore :)

We snuck into the front part of the barracks- hey, they left the gate unlocked!

We had to go inside the Summerall Chapel to cool down!

His little cheeks got so red
