DIY Dresser

Several months ago we decided we wanted to sell my old bedroom set because, for one, we weren't using it, and two, we didn't have any room to use it.  It's been sitting in the attic for a while and we haven't taken the opportunity to take pictures and get it sold.  In the meantime, I had this idea to use the dresser for Leah's room, but it was brown.  And a brown dresser just wouldn't go in her grey room.  Jason volunteered, or was strongly persuaded, to refinish it white so we could use it for her!  I was excited he agreed to this, because it was mine and she'd be using it too AND it would save us some money so we didn't have to buy new furniture.  We reused Jason's baby dresser and toy box in Bennett's room and it just adds meaning, something you can't get from new perfect furniture.  Jason is a great DIYer and was super busy this past weekend.  I snapped some pictures along the way to see how far he had come.  I can't wait to see it in her room!!!!!

The before

Sanded and primed ready for paint

Nice and pretty with a couple coats of paint!!

The dresser has a mirror but Jason has to patch a whole before refinishing that piece.  And I need to go pick out some new drawer pulls- the ones on it were dated and just not pretty anymore.  I think it's going to look wonderful in her room!!
